Job Summary
Lead the design and implementation of test strategies and plans while mentoring mid-level and junior QA engineers. Develop and maintain automated test frameworks using Cypress, Jmeter, and Postman, and conduct code reviews to ensure testability and quality. Analyze test results to provide recommendations for improvements and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive best practices throughout the software development lifecycle. Act as a subject matter expert in software testing, leveraging expertise in end-to-end, API, and performance/load testing. This three-month fixed-term contract is based in Toronto, Ontario, with an anticipated hourly rate of $45. The role supports DEPT's global digital experiences for major brands like Google and KFC.

- Expertise in Cypress and TypeScript
- Expertise in Jmeter
- Expertise in Jest
- Expertise in Postman
- Expertise in SQL/DB
- Expertise in Jira
- Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools
- Proficient in writing and executing complex test cases and test scripts
- Expertise in end-to-end testing
- Expertise in API testing
- Expertise in performance/load testing
- Familiarity with source/version control such as Git
- Familiarity with AWS CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Lead the design and implementation of test strategies and plans
