Senior QA Engineer - E-commerce

Job Summary
Senior QA Engineer to design and implement automated testing strategies for web UIs, APIs, and end-to-end data flows, with emphasis on both automated and manual exploratory testing. Collaborates with Software Engineers and Product Managers using shift-left testing practices to ensure reliability of complex distributed systems, microservices, and data pipelines; requires strong experience with Playwright/Cypress/Selenium/PyTest, API testing, and data integrity validation in RESTful contexts. Remote work provided with 100% software delivery focus for clients in nearshore/LatAm engagements.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in Software Quality Engineering
- Experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or PyTest
- API testing using REST APIs, Postman, and PyTest
- Experience testing web applications, APIs, distributed systems, and microservices
- Strong functional testing skills, including end-to-end and integration testing
- Experience validating third-party integrations, data flows, and API contracts
- Hands-on experience testing complex backend processes, file uploads, and data pipelines
- Knowledge of SQL, message queues, and event-driven architectures
- Understanding of distributed systems, MFE, and SOA architectures
- Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript with solid OOP knowledge
- Strong problem-solving, test design, and communication skills
