Job Summary
Senior QA Engineer at Ceresti responsible for end-to-end quality across web, mobile, and backend services. Design, build, and maintain automated UI tests using Playwright (TypeScript or Python) and API tests with Postman/Newman. Perform manual, exploratory, and regression testing, lead release management activities, and collaborate with developers, product managers, and clinical stakeholders to bake quality in from the start. Define quality metrics, integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, and champion HIPAA/PHI safeguards and data integrity while mentoring engineers on test design and craft.
Required Qualifications
- BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- 8+ years of professional QA / test engineering experience
- 5+ years of hands-on test automation
- 2+ years building and maintaining Playwright test suites
- Strong experience with Postman/Newman for API automation
- Experience as a release manager or release coordinator
- Experience with additional automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, WebdriverIO, Appium)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) and integrating automated tests into them
- SQL experience (Postgres a plus)
- Experience with performance/load testing tools (JMeter, k6, Locust) is a plus
- Experience testing in regulated environments (HIPAA/healthcare) and protecting PHI is a plus
- Familiarity with mobile testing (iOS/Android), cross-browser testing, and accessibility testing (WCAG/ADA, Section 508)
- Experience using AI coding assistants to accelerate test creation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
- Ability to pass background check
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills
