Senior QA Engineer (100% Remote)

Job Summary
Senior QA Engineer role focused on ensuring product quality through a balanced mix of manual and automated testing. Responsibilities include designing and executing detailed test plans and cases, conducting exploratory testing, identifying and documenting defects with reproducible steps, collaborating with developers, product managers, and designers, validating bug fixes, and developing automated test cases. The role requires building and maintaining scalable automated test frameworks, integrating them into CI/CD pipelines, executing automated functional testing, monitoring results, and analyzing failures to drive quality across functional, regression, and performance scenarios. The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), 5+ years in QA, 3+ years in JavaScript/TypeScript & NodeJS, 3+ years in automation design, and hands-on experience with modern QA tools and methodologies. Preferred certifications (ISTQB Advanced or equivalent) and knowledge of SQL/NoSQL, API testing, performance testing, and security testing are a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance (manual and automation)
- 3+ years of JavaScript/TypeScript & NodeJS
- 3+ years of test automation design and implementation (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or equivalent)
- 3+ years of native mobile test automation design and implementation (Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, etc.)
- Experience defining QA strategies for complex software
- Hands-on with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI)
- Defect tracking tools (Jira, TestRail, TestPad, etc.)
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- English proficiency
