Job Summary
Lead and mentor QA Automation Engineers while designing scalable automation frameworks for enterprise-level test automation efforts. Build and maintain UI, API, database, and end-to-end automated test suites, integrating them into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab. Define automation strategy, establish governance standards, and drive defect resolution through manual testing support and risk analysis. This 6-month contract assignment requires 8+ years of QA experience with team leadership and framework development skills. Candidates must be based in Houston, TX, without sponsorship, and pass background checks. The role supports Product, Development, and DevOps teams in a large-scale technology environment, focusing on modernizing testing practices through automation and AI-supported solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Must be based in the Houston area
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- 8+ years of Software QA experience
- 5+ years leading QA Automation teams
- Proven experience building automation frameworks from scratch
- Strong experience with CI/CD integration and DevOps practices
- Hands-on experience in Agile/Scrum environments
- Experience managing enterprise or multi-project automation initiatives
- Strong collaboration and leadership skills
- Experience with one or more automation tools: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Tosca
- Programming experience in: Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or C#
