Job Summary
Senior QA Automation Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automated test frameworks (Playwright) to ensure software quality across functional, regression, and integration testing. Owns test strategy aligned with QA and development goals, validates UI usability and accessibility, analyzes backend data with SQL, and troubleshoots data-related issues. Manages testing environments with Docker Compose and integrates tests into CI/CD pipelines. Creates and maintains detailed test plans, cases, and reports; reviews code and test implementations for maintainability; tests REST and GraphQL APIs for performance and compliance; mentors junior QA engineers and drives automation efficiency through process improvements. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of automated testing experience
- Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript
- Strong SQL data validation and query design
- Extensive Playwright experience and building scalable test frameworks
- OOP principles in test automation architecture
- Proficient with Git and branching
- English proficiency (upper-intermediate or higher)
- Experience with Docker Compose
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
- API testing experience (REST/GraphQL)
- Experience with SQL/ORM tools (e.g., Prisma)
- Ability to mentor junior QA engineers
- Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Ability to design and enforce QA best practices
- Willingness to learn new tools and frameworks
- Experience with security testing considerations is a plus
- Experience testing financial or high-risk transactional applications is a plus
