Job Summary
Write, maintain, and execute detailed test plans covering functional, regression, integration, cross-browser, and mobile-responsive testing. Perform exploratory testing to surface issues scripted cases miss, then log clear, reproducible defects with steps and environment details. Investigate root causes, triage severity, verify fixes, and run regression passes before release sign-off. Requires five or more years in software QA, SQL skills, and familiarity with Jira. Must be a current Texas or Louisiana resident with a valid driver's license and SSN card. Full-time remote role with pay based on experience.

- Strong grasp of QA methodologies
- Strong grasp of the SDLC
- Strong grasp of Agile/Scrum practice
- Proven ability to write thorough test cases from ambiguous or incomplete requirements
- Working knowledge of SQL for data setup and verification
- Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools (Jira)
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Able to explain technical issues to non-technical audiences

Desired Qualifications
- Accessibility testing against WCAG 2.1 AA
- Basic security testing awareness (OWASP Top 10)
- API testing experience using Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent
- Comfort with browser developer tools for inspecting network traffic, console errors, and the DOM
- Familiarity with transportation, bridge inspection, or other civil-infrastructure domains
