Senior Python Engineer, Integration

Job Summary
Take full ownership of backend features and improvements, from design through implementation, deployment, and production support. Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend services using Python and Django. Build and maintain integrations with external systems, including KYC, geolocation, and payment partners. Work closely with product and engineering teams to scope and deliver new integrations. Implement observability across integration flows, including monitoring, logging, and alerting. Write unit and integration tests to ensure system reliability. Support production issues and participate in on-call rotations.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5+ years of development experience
- Python as the primary language
- strong experience in API and system integrations
- Proven experience integrating third-party APIs
- deep understanding of webhooks
- deep understanding of callbacks
- deep understanding of idempotency
- deep understanding of failure handling
- Experience with observability tools to monitor and troubleshoot production integrations
- Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures and concurrency
- Experience in architecture design of highly loaded and scalable solutions
- Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle
- from requirements analysis to deployment and production monitoring
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations
Desired Qualifications
- Payments and KYC integrations are strong plus
- Experience in early-stage startups and fast-paced engineering environments
- Experience in writing automated tests, measuring test coverage, and defining test automation strategies
- Experience with observability tools such as Datadog, CloudWatch, Grafana
- Experience in sports/betting industries
