Job Summary
Develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications using Python, leveraging Claude Code for software development workflows. Design and work with PostgreSQL databases while supporting AWS-based application development, deployment, and DevOps activities across ECS, EC2, Lambda, and RDS. Utilize Azure DevOps for development processes and troubleshoot application, cloud, and deployment-related issues. Contribute independently at a Staff Engineer or highly senior engineering level across development and cloud engineering activities. This role supports the U.S. Federal Government's capital markets modernization program, offering hands-on experience with next-generation AI and cloud technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Staff-level or highly senior software engineering experience
- Strong professional experience developing applications using Python
- Hands-on proficiency with Claude Code
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL/Postgres
- Hands-on AWS DevOps experience
- Experience working with AWS ECS, EC2, Lambda, and RDS
- Experience with Azure DevOps
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote contract environment
- U.S. Citizenship or Green Card status
- Ability to work 100% remotely
- Ability to perform effectively at a Staff Engineer or highly senior engineering level
- Strong independent problem-solving and engineering capabilities
