Job Summary
Senior Python Data Scraping Engineer (Freelance, Part-time, Remote) to own end-to-end data extraction workflows across complex websites, leveraging Apify and OpenRouter within Tendem AI-assisted workflows. Collaborate with Tendem Agents to deliver accurate, structured datasets (CSV/JSON) from dynamic and interactive sources, including JavaScript-rendered content. Implement data quality checks, normalization, and validation, scale operations with batching/parallelization, monitor failures, and adapt to site changes. Requires 5+ years in data engineering/web scraping, Python (BeautifulSoup/Selenium), experience with anti-bot measures, AWS/Docker, and LangChain/OpenRouter; English (B2+); compensation up to $30/hour equivalent with 10–20 hours per week estimated.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience in data engineering, web scraping, automation, or software development
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or related fields (plus)
- Strong experience in Python web scraping (BeautifulSoup, Selenium) including dynamic content
- Ability to extract data from complex structures and deliver structured datasets (CSV, JSON)
- Experience handling anti-bot mechanisms and dynamic site structures at scale
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS or equivalent) and Docker
- Hands-on experience with LLM frameworks (LangChain, OpenRouter)
- Self-directed work ethic and ability to troubleshoot independently
- English proficiency: Upper-intermediate (B2) or above
