Job Summary
Senior Python Data Scraping Engineer (Freelance) for Tendem project on Mindrift platform. Role involves owning end-to-end data extraction workflows across complex websites, leveraging Apify/OpenRouter and custom workflows, ensuring reliable extraction of dynamic JS-rendered content, enforcing data quality, and scaling scraping operations. Collaborate with Tendem Agents, contribute domain expertise, and deliver structured datasets (CSV/JSON) with rigorous validation. Requires 5+ years in data engineering or web scraping, strong Python (BeautifulSoup, Selenium or similar), experience with anti-bot/dynamic content, cloud/Docker experience, and familiarity with LLM frameworks. Project is part-time remote with compensation up to $37/hour equivalent; degrees (Bachelor’s or Master’s) preferred, English proficiency at B2 or above.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in data engineering, web scraping, automation, or software development (required)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or related technical fields is a plus
- Strong experience in Python web scraping (BeautifulSoup, Selenium or similar) including dynamic content and APIs via proxies
- Proven ability to extract data from complex structures
- Solid background in data cleaning, normalization, and validation
- Experience handling anti-bot mechanisms and dynamic site structures at scale
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS or equivalent) and Docker
- Hands-on experience with LLM frameworks (LangChain, OpenRouter, or similar)
- GitHub link a plus
- English proficiency: Upper-intermediate (B2) or above
- Project time expectations: 10–20 hours per week during active phases
- Compensation up to $37 per hour equivalent
