Job Summary
Senior Python Data Scraping Engineer for a freelance Tendem project on Mindrift. You’ll own end-to-end data extraction workflows across complex websites, leverage internal tools (Apify, OpenRouter) and custom workflows, handle dynamic content and JS-rendered pages, enforce data quality through validation and formatting, and scale scraping operations with reliable delivery of structured datasets. Collaboration with Tendem Agents to provide domain expertise, critical thinking, and quality control within an AI-assisted workflow. Part-time remote role with estimated 10–20 hours per week, offering up to $25/hour equivalent.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience in data engineering, web scraping, automation, or software development
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or related technical fields is a plus
- Strong experience in Python web scraping (BeautifulSoup, Selenium or similar)
- Experience with dynamic content (JS, AJAX, infinite scroll) and APIs via proxies
- Solid background in data cleaning, normalization, and validation
- Experience handling anti-bot mechanisms and dynamic site structures at scale
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS or equivalent) and containerization (Docker)
- Hands-on experience with LLM frameworks (LangChain, OpenRouter, or similar)
- Self-directed work ethic with ability to troubleshoot independently
- GitHub link is a plus
- English proficiency: Upper-intermediate (B2) or above
- Project time expectations: 10–20 hours per week during active phases
- Compensation: Up to $25 per hour equivalent
- Locations include multiple Brazilian cities; remote option available
- Remote work: 100% remote for this project
