Job Summary
Senior Python Data Scraping Engineer (Freelance) on a part-time remote Tendem project. You will own end-to-end data extraction workflows across complex websites, ensure complete coverage and structured outputs, leverage internal tools (Apify, OpenRouter) plus custom workflows, and handle dynamic, JavaScript-rendered content. You’ll enforce data quality via validation checks, cross-source consistency, and formatting specs, and scale scraping operations with batching or parallelization. Requires 5+ years in data engineering/web scraping, strong Python scraping skills (BeautifulSoup/Selenium), experience with anti-bot measures, cloud/dockers, and familiarity with LLM frameworks. Project hours are ~10–20 per week during active phases; compensation up to $30/hour (annualized to $62,400). Remote work is supported across multiple locations; the role emphasizes independent, detail-oriented work and delivering reliable, structured datasets (CSV/JSON).
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in data engineering/web scraping/software development
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or related fields (plus)
- Strong experience in Python scraping (BeautifulSoup, Selenium)
- Experience with dynamic content/JS/AJAX
- Data cleaning and validation
- Experience with cloud infra (AWS) and Docker
- LLM frameworks (LangChain, OpenRouter)
- English proficiency B2+
- Independent work ability
