Job Summary
Senior Python Data Scraping Engineer (Freelance) for Tendem project on a part-time remote basis. You will own end-to-end data extraction workflows across complex websites, leverage tools like Apify and OpenRouter, ensure accurate, structured data delivery, and scale scraping operations. Requires 5+ years in data engineering or web scraping, expert Python scraping skills (BeautifulSoup/Selenium) with dynamic content, data cleaning/validation, experience with anti-bot measures, cloud and containerization (AWS, Docker), and familiarity with LLM frameworks (LangChain/OpenRouter). English proficiency (B2+), independent, detail-oriented, and able to work on flexible weekly hours (approx. 10–20 hours/week during active phases), with compensation up to $45/hour equivalent. Remote work available from SE, DK, FI, NO, AT, BE regions.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in data engineering/web scraping/automation or software development
- Strong experience in Python web scraping (BeautifulSoup, Selenium or similar)
- Experience with dynamic content (JS, AJAX) and APIs via proxies
- Data cleaning, normalization, validation to deliver structured datasets (CSV, JSON)
- Experience handling anti-bot mechanisms at scale
- Cloud infrastructure (AWS or equivalent) and Docker
- Hands-on experience with LLM frameworks (LangChain, OpenRouter)
- Self-directed work ethic; ability to troubleshoot independently
- English proficiency: B2 or above
