Job Summary
Research, design, code, test, and deploy firmwide platforms and tooling that enable large-scale quantitative research operations and portfolio production. Develop large-scale, distributed systems with a focus on high-performance application design, concurrency patterns, and Linux system programming fundamentals. Build scalable, efficient platforms to drive the firm's next decade of growth while collaborating with researchers and portfolio managers to produce predictive signals. Requires 7+ years of Python production experience on Linux, strong algorithmic understanding, and willingness to learn C++.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 7 years of writing production-quality code in Python on Linux platform
- Strong understanding and experience with Linux system programming fundamentals
- Ability to develop large-scale, distributed systems
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, high-performance application design, and concurrency patterns
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal direction
- Proficiency in English
Desired Qualifications
- Candidate must be willing to learn C++
- Experience in C++
- Strong interest and motivation to work with machine learning, deep learning, backtesting platform design and development technologies
- Prior experience in machine learning, deep learning, backtesting platform design and development technologies
- An outstanding candidate will also have experience with one or more of: Developing systems for managing and performing computation on large-scale graph data
- An outstanding candidate will also have experience with one or more of: Streaming / dataflow systems
