Job Summary
Design and maintain scalable backend applications using Python, FastAPI, and Microservices architecture. Build, deploy, and support enterprise-grade APIs and distributed services while developing event-driven integrations with Kafka. Lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning and backlog grooming, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications. Manage the full software development lifecycle from design to production support, including CI/CD pipeline maintenance, containerization with Docker, and Kubernetes deployments. Troubleshoot production issues and prepare deployment strategies, cutover plans, and hyper-care activities. Contribute to architectural decisions and mentor team members in a collaborative environment focused on digital transformation and continuous delivery.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of professional experience in Python application development and enterprise software engineering
- Strong hands-on expertise in Python, FastAPI, and Microservices architecture
- Solid experience developing RESTful APIs and backend services
- Experience implementing event-driven architectures using Kafka
- Strong knowledge of Azure Cloud services with exposure to cloud-native application development
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes (AKS), and Helm
- Experience working in Agile/SAFe environments using Jira and Confluence
- Strong understanding of software design principles, coding standards, and application lifecycle management
- Experience preparing functional design documents and technical specifications
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to mentor team members and contribute to technical decision-making
- Ability to Design scalable, maintainable, and secure backend solutions
- Ability to Work independently while effectively collaborating within Agile teams
- Ability to Translate business requirements into technical designs and implementation plans
