Job Summary
Lead solar PV projects from inception to completion, managing timelines, budgets, and quality standards while overseeing planning, resource allocation, and risk management. Conduct solar resource assessments, shading analyses, and performance simulations using industry-standard software like Helioscope and PVSYST. Prepare electrical drawings, layouts, and specifications for systems in compliance with codes and regulations. Participate in site visits to evaluate potential locations and assist third-party EPC contractors with procurement and Request for Proposals. Ensure safety protocols are implemented throughout project execution and maintain accurate documentation of activities and calculations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, engineering groups, and external stakeholders to drive smooth project delivery. Travel to job sites as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in Electrical Engineering
- Proven track record of successful project delivery
- Able to operate Microsoft Office
- Able to operate Helioscope
- Able to operate PVSYST
- Able to operate major electrical software suites (Etap etc)
- In-depth knowledge of solar PV system design
- Knowledge of grid integration
- Advanced performance modeling
- Proficiency in industry standard software for solar resource assessment and system design
- Experience with electrical equipment
- Experience with O&M activities
- Experience with pricing
- Familiarity with battery energy storage systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving technologies and industry standards
- Enthusiasm for renewable solutions
