Job Summary
Lead business development and expand the solar engineering practice by leveraging industry connections to generate new business, develop strategic partnerships with utilities and developers, and drive revenue growth through proposal development and contract negotiations. Oversee the electrical design of large-scale PV and energy storage projects, ensuring compliance with NEC, IEEE, and UL requirements while optimizing system performance through advanced modeling. Recruit, mentor, and build a high-performing PV engineering team, establishing technical best practices for project execution. Represent the firm at industry events and conferences to maintain market influence and stay ahead of emerging technologies and regulations.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in PV electrical engineering, project development, or related fields
- Established industry network with a strong reputation for winning and delivering work
- Expertise in PV system design, interconnection, and grid integration
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to rapidly scale a technical team
- Deep understanding of NEC, IEEE, UL, and permitting requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
Desired Qualifications
- PE (Professional Engineer) registration preferred
