Senior Purchasing Specialist

Job Summary
Analyze buy plans, forecast data, and inventory levels to execute purchase orders and track delivery status. Monitor stock to prevent shortages or overstock, maintaining accurate records of pricing, lead times, and order acknowledgments. Resolve shipment and invoice discrepancies while collaborating with Sales, Operations, and Accounting to address supply disruptions and capacity constraints. Partner with cross-functional teams to prioritize orders, assess backorders, and ensure long-term supply plans meet customer service expectations. Work with Material Master Data controls including ABC coding and MOQs to maintain data integrity. Requires a Bachelor's degree, five years of purchasing experience with SAP MRP systems, and proficiency in MS Excel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience working in purchasing, procurement or supply chain using computer based MRP systems (SAP)
- Excellent MRP, scheduling, capacity management and organizational skills
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Proficient in MS Excel and intermediate level experience with other MS Office applications
- Detail orientated with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work and communicate in a team environment
