Job Summary
Procurement Specialist—Electrical Components is responsible for end-to-end purchasing of low voltage electrical components for platform products, handling RFQs and sourcing decisions for standard and non-standard configurations from major projects and new R&D requests. The role targets achievement of purchasing targets (QCDS) and category management, collaborates in a matrix organization with the tribe team, identifies suppliers per the sourcing plan, negotiates annual and daily prices to optimize total cost of ownership, and oversees contract creation to ensure terms are met and risks are managed. It also involves maintaining supplier relationships for long-term value creation, supporting supplier quality management and material management to resolve deviations, and aligning with ESG and sustainability requirements. The role requires living KONE’s culture of collaboration, ethical practices, and a focus on continuous improvement; other duties assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in mechanical and electrical engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of purchasing and/or supply chain experience in machine and equipment
- Technical knowhow on electrical drawings and familiarity with electrical components specifications and functions (power distribution, control cabinet, circuit breaker, contractor, relay, cable and harness, filter, main switch) and control engineering (PLC, I/O module, HMI, frequency inverter, PCBA, sensors)
- Basic English oral and written ability; additional languages are a plus
- Good interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
- Willingness to learn and accept new challenges
- Open-mindedness, teamwork and service orientation
