Job Summary
Senior Purchasing Manager oversees end-to-end supply chain orchestration from Ukrainian and Polish suppliers to German assembly sites; manages strategic procurement, contract compliance, lead-time optimization, risk mitigation of the Ukrainian route, customs and cross-border logistics, BOM management, inventory control, and analytics-driven stock balancing. Requires 5+ years in SCM or strategic purchasing, experience with Eastern European suppliers, fluent English and German, with Ukrainian language proficiency as a strong plus, and willingness to travel between Germany and Poland locations. This role contributes to supplier relationships, contract adherence, lead-time optimization, and risk management within a defense/aerospace/heavy machinery context.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in Supply Chain Management or Strategic Purchasing
- Regional Expertise managing suppliers in Eastern Europe (Poland/Ukraine)
- Fluent in English and German
- Proficiency in Ukrainian is a strong plus
- Willingness to travel between JV sites in Germany and partner locations in Poland
