Job Summary
Senior Purchasing Coordinator leads strategic procurement initiatives, optimizes inventory in distribution centers, and drives supplier relationships and contract terms. The role supports sales inquiries, negotiates terms, and ensures compliance and continuous process improvements, leveraging advanced analytics, MRPs, and cross-functional collaboration to align procurement with organizational goals. Located in Landover, MD with a hybrid work arrangement; requires 2–3 years of senior-level purchasing experience and proficiency with MS Office and Infor Distribution SX.
Required Qualifications
- 2 – 3 years of experience in a senior-level purchasing or procurement role, or equivalent military or practical experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Infor Distribution SX
- Advanced mathematical skills (discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume)
- Ability to pass a background check post offer acceptance
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication; leadership capabilities
- Experience with inventory management and supplier relationship management
- Ability to tackle complex problems and drive procurement strategy
