Job Summary
Senior Publicist responsible for actively pitching to top-tier media, developing compelling narratives and story hooks, and driving TerraCycle's public relations strategy across local and national outlets. Key duties include securing features and profiles, monitoring news cycles for timely coverage, writing press releases and pitches with accuracy, coordinating interviews and talking points, and supporting award submissions. Requires excellent written communication, AP Style expertise, strong project management, and deep media relationships; previous PR campaigns experience (agency preferred) and a bachelor’s degree in a related field are favored. Hybrid work schedule in Trenton, NJ.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business, or related field is preferred
- 5 years of experience in PR; agency experience preferred
- Excellent written communication skills with understanding of AP Style
- Strong project management skills with ability to supervise multiple projects
- Proven track record designing and executing successful public relations campaigns at local and national level
- Strong relationships with both local and national media outlets
- Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach
- Team player and confident communicator; able to drive compelling narratives/pitches
- Proficiency in PR tools (e.g., Cision, Muck Rack, Meltwater) and Microsoft Office / Google Workspace
