Job Summary
Commission protective relaying equipment, DFRs, SCADA systems, and automation systems through end-to-end relay testing using Doble Protection Suite, Omicron Test Universe, and RTS. Execute functional and scheme testing including reclosing, breaker failure, logic schemes, and communication-assisted protection. Troubleshoot protocols such as DNP3, Modbus, and 8979 using Wireshark, Accelerator, and ASE 2000. Support development of standardized testing procedures and provide guidance to junior technicians. Collaborate with clients, vendors, and engineering teams to ensure reliable project outcomes. This role requires 1-5 years of field experience in relay testing and calibration, proficiency with Omicron and Doble equipment, and a valid driver's license. Required Qualifications
- Strong technical expertise in protective relaying, commissioning, and troubleshooting
- 1-5 years field experience in relay testing, calibration, or substation commissioning without direct supervision
- Strong understanding of three‐phase power systems and protection schemes
- Proficiency with Omicron, Doble, Vanguard, and related test equipment
- Skilled in RTS, Test Universe, Protection Suite, and Accelerator
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel
