Job Summary
Senior Proposals Engineer II to support MEA Proposals Activities and MEA Customer Sales within Emerson Actuation Technologies; responsibilities include understanding project requirements, preparing SMART quotes via Quote Engineers, aligning with sales strategy, leveraging product strengths, coordinating with Engineering/Factory for solutions, handling technical clarifications, ensuring trade compliance, handing over to project management, leading projects, and delivering final artifacts per in-house standards. Requires Engineering degree and 7–9 years in Automation with inside sales/pre-sales/quote activities; strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills; familiarity with RFQ/quote tools and Actuation Technologies products; proficiency in Microsoft Office; collaboration with outside sales and phrases like “Lead the project” and “Team initiative.” The role is located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering
- 7-9 years experience in Automation Industry
- Inside Sales / Pre-sales quote activities / customer experience preferred
- Experience with RFQ / Quote Tools
- Knowledge of Actuation Technologies products
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Interpersonal skills and ability to relate with all levels of staff
