Senior Proposal Writer/ Proposal Specialist

Job Summary
Develop and coordinate request for proposal response packages in InDesign, proposal documents, and estimates under the direction of the Proposal Team Manager. Participate in daily team scrum to review proposal priorities and progress, then review assigned qualification and proposal requests to assess requirements and identify appropriate service line leaders. Conduct research, gather information, and attend meetings with technical leaders to ensure proposals reflect SOCOTEC's expertise, while collaborating with internal Legal and Finance teams to produce complete packages. Provide quality control review of proposals prepared by other team members to ensure accuracy, compliance, and on-time delivery, and serve as a liaison with local clients to obtain clarifications and support relationship-building efforts. Maintain familiarity with regional procurement practices to strengthen responsiveness and positioning.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in proposal writing, estimating, and qualifications preparation
- Experience in an architecture, engineering, or consulting firm
- Public-sector experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in architecture, engineering, or related field
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Adobe InDesign)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Minimum of 4 days per week are in-office
- up to one day per week remote
Desired Qualifications
- Established knowledge of New York municipalities, state agencies, and public-sector procurement processes
- Experience in an architecture, engineering, or consulting firm
- Bachelor's degree
