Senior Property Accountant I

Job Summary
Prepare and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial information to lenders and owners. Monitor accruals, reconcile bank statements, and perform wire transfers to ensure funds meet operational needs. Review budget variances, audit accounting records for receipts and disbursements, and record correcting journal entries as discrepancies arise. Maintain fixed asset systems, process property tax payments, and approve assigned property invoices. Mentor accounting personnel and implement procedures to improve efficiency. Respond to requests from owners and operations teams regarding financial reports and statements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Application and usage of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- One to three years of related experience
- Experience with a multi-family property management company
- Demonstrated proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, database management, and property management (e.g., Yardi, PayScan, MRI, One Site) programs
- Working knowledge of email, Microsoft Word, and Excel
- Successful background screen
- Completion of drug test
