Job Summary
Senior Project Scheduler role focused on developing and analyzing complex scope-of-work schedules using the assigned system. Independently lead the development of intermediate to complex schedules, including integration, baselining, updating, and analysis of scope of work. Maintain security, reporting, maintenance, and KPIs for assigned projects; interface with execution teams, contractors, suppliers, and management; define activities, durations, and logic to produce milestones and critical-path schedules; ensure schedules meet customer detail requirements and internal standards; organize and lead schedule-review meetings; produce minutes and action items; provide periodic status updates and What-If analyses; mentor junior schedulers and support overtime and shift requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Related degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or Project Management
- Associate's degree with 4 years of qualified experience OR Bachelor's degree with 2 years of qualified experience
- Experience in operations, planning, project management, and/or construction or maintenance of systems and/or equipment
- Scheduling experience in utilities or construction management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Team player able to work with execution teams, contractors, suppliers, and management
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and ability to develop complex spreadsheets
- Self-motivated, able to work under general supervision, and capable of current scheduling techniques and analyses
- Availability for overtime, call-out overtime, and shift work as required
- Ability to develop and analyze milestone plans, activity durations, sequences, and logic to meet customer standards and department guidance
- Ability to organize and lead schedule review meetings and communicate schedule status to stakeholders
- Experience with What-If scheduling, compressed or crashed schedules, and adapting schedules to minimize impact
