Job Summary
Senior Project Manager responsibilities include guiding project teams and client organizations in Agile/Scrum practices, enforcing self-organization, maturing Scrum processes, removing impediments, and fostering a blame-free environment. The role plans and coordinates all aspects of technical projects from initiation through delivery, manages budgets and timelines, interfaces with clients on technical matters, and ensures client satisfaction. The position requires PMP certification, strong experience managing high-visibility, high-complexity projects, knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies (PMBOK), and proficiency with project management software. The role also involves identifying resource needs, coordinating internal and external teams, and driving development of additional services revenue opportunities within the client's environment.
Required Qualifications
- PMP certification is required
- Strong ability to independently manage medium to high risk, high complexity, and high client visibility projects
- Knowledgeable of project management standards, processes, procedures and guidelines using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Knowledgeable of PMBOK and industry project management best practices
- Knowledgeable of company products and services
- Solid understanding of IT project methodologies and lifecycle stages (analysis, design, development, testing, implementation)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, team, conflict management, and time management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced skills in project management software
- Ability to manage project budgets and timelines
- Negotiation skills to reach agreement among stakeholders
- Ability to facilitate interaction with executive-level clients
- Ability to set clear expectations and build team morale
- Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive assignments
