Senior Project Manager - Water/Wastewater

Job Summary
Manage all aspects of complex water/wastewater projects, including technical staff, subcontractors, and suppliers, to ensure timely and successful completion. Develop and communicate project management plans outlining objectives, scope, schedule, budget, quality standards, and safety protocols. Lead teams of engineers and designers while mentoring junior project managers. Negotiate contract terms, scope, and fees with clients and subconsultants. Identify new business opportunities, coordinate project presentations, and prepare qualification statements. Conduct site visits, gather field data, and compare measurements against design plans. Monitor project budgets and expenditures to maintain cost control and achieve utilization targets. Prepare monthly progress reports, performance charts, and cash management updates for finance and operations.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Water/Wastewater
- Professional Engineering Licensure
- Highly self-motivated and dynamic individual
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience leading a team of engineers/designers
- Project Management experience
- Experience in managing and growing a design team
- Strong technical knowledge base in water/wastewater design
- Experience with contract management, billing, and workload planning to track/meet budgets
- Experience and passion for growth into new business sectors

- Bachelor's Degree in related field (AEC Industry)
- Minimum of 6 years of related professional experience
- 10 years of equivalent professional experience
- Track record of expanding project management duties
- Proven experience in project management roles
- Focus on managing larger-scale projects or programs
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- Ability to develop and maintain comprehensive project plans and documentation
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to project management, quality assurance, and safety protocols
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Ability to identify issues and implement solutions in a fast-paced environment
- Strong negotiation skills
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- Ability to complete the KCI PM Training and Contract Risk Training
- Passing the PM Board within 6 months of start date
