Job Summary
Senior Project Manager for water/wastewater projects in the SoCal area, leading project teams and delivering mid-size to large-scale engineering initiatives. Responsible for defining objectives, schedules, budgets and client success factors; ensuring effective communication among team members and clients; mentoring staff; developing scopes of work; maintaining schedules and budgets; managing quality plans and change controls; and supporting business development through client relationships and proposals. Preferred background includes experience leading wastewater and water utilities projects, ability to present to clients, direct the work of drafters and designers, and strong planning, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills. The role is based in Irvine, Los Angeles, or San Diego with a hybrid work arrangement and requires collaboration with the SoCal Area leader, Client Service Managers, Technical Service Leaders, and the Marketing Manager to deliver quality environmental engineering solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, business administration or related field
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience managing mid-size to large municipal water/wastewater projects
- Professional Engineer (PE) in California or ability to obtain California registration within 12 months of hire
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
- Experience with project planning, risk and change management, and contract management
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Teams, Outlook)
