Job Summary
Oversee project profitability and success from estimate preparation through construction completion, managing multiple projects valued up to $20 million. Conduct plan/spec and conceptual estimating, formulate execution plans, and issue subcontracts while maintaining CPM schedules and weekly coordination meetings. Partner with field leadership to ensure on-time, on-budget installation and monitor subcontractor progress, safety reviews, and closeout processes including QA/QC and commissioning. Forecast monthly profitability, adjust execution plans as needed, and identify future project opportunities through internal and external networking. Support team development through mentoring and quarterly performance assessments while aligning project strategies with company objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field
- Minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience
- Thorough knowledge of mechanical construction industry practices, processes, and standards
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems
- Basic knowledge of plumbing systems and industrial processes
- Ability to maximize performance of project team through innovative and effective management techniques
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills, such as diplomacy, persuasion
- Time management and organizational skills
- Basic level of financial acumen necessary to manage project budget / performance
- Knowledge of MS Word, Excel
- Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict-management skills
- Ability to successfully drive project through completion
- Routine daily driving to project sites
- Infrequent overnight travel

- Completion of a pre-employment drug screen
