Job Summary
Lead and grow a Transportation/Traffic practice by delivering transportation planning, traffic engineering, roadway, and ITS-related projects while assisting in marketing and business development with municipal, state, and private clients. Manage projects profitably through agency specifications, transition work to qualified staff, and mentor team members. Provide vision, business planning, and strategy with open communication to partners and team, maintaining positive client relationships and pursuing new passions and clients. Operate with integrity and sound business principles to advance toward ownership. Enjoy a great deal of autonomy to direct and grow your business within the Nashville, Tennessee area.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of transportation planning, traffic engineering and design, traffic operations, and/or ITS planning and design experience
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
- Track record of successfully winning and delivering work in the local area
- Established relationships with local DOT, local agencies, and/or local municipalities
- Demonstrated ability to manage transportation projects profitably through agency specifications
- Excellent communication, leadership, and technical skills
- Strong desire and ability to be engaged with clients solving project problems
- Ability to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization
- Ability to manage and mentor staff and direct resources effectively in a positive manner
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably
