Job Summary
Senior Project Manager – Tool Install responsible for overall direction, completion, and financial outcomes of electrical construction projects, leading a team of project managers and assistants, developing new business opportunities, and maintaining client relationships. Responsibilities include establishing project objectives and performance standards, supervising project staff, managing change orders and project logs, coordinating with prime clients and A/E teams, monitoring progress to ensure schedules and budgets are met, training and supervising project personnel, managing project finances (progress billing, equipment rental, income/expenses), and fostering collaboration among stakeholders. Candidates should bring extensive experience in electrical construction, strong leadership and communication skills, knowledge of electrical systems, scheduling, and cost forecasting, and the ability to drive innovative construction techniques and prefabrication strategies. A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred; a PE license is a plus; travel up to 25% is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in project management, preferably in electrical construction
- Proven experience mentoring and managing others
- Knowledge of construction technology, scheduling, equipment and methods
- Ability to understand and follow standard operating policies and procedures
- Strong leadership, business acumen, and integrity
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or other related discipline
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in project management, preferably in electrical construction
- PE license a plus
- Knowledge of electrical systems, construction technology, scheduling, equipment and methods
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; Oracle and Accubid preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and client-relations skills
- Experience mentoring and managing others
- Business development/heavy client interaction a plus
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing requirements
- Travel: 10-25%
