Job Summary
Senior Project Manager responsible for leading construction projects in the Commercial Construction/Design-Build space from initial BD meetings through project closeout. Duties include: participating in new project sales meetings with BD lead, preparing and monitoring construction schedules and job costs, maintaining project files, managing owner/consultant-initiated change notices and change orders, requesting pricing from subcontractors and processing subcontractor change orders, reviewing shop drawings, coordinating and documenting subcontractor and owner/consultant meetings with minutes, assisting the estimator with preparations, reviewing and approving subcontractor monthly progress draws and preparing monthly progress claims, forecasting project progress, ensuring the Site Superintendent has up-to-date documents, coordinating with the Superintendent for overall project coordination, and collaborating across various delivery methods to ensure successful project delivery.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years previous Project Management experience
- University or college diploma in a relevant construction/engineering program
- Integrated Project Delivery Contract experience is an asset
- Excellent computer skills including MS Office, Project, Scheduling and Project Management software
- Experience in all forms of contracts and delivery
- Strong technical, business, financial and legal acumen
- Excellent communication skills (oral, written, presentations)
- Experience working with different project delivery methods
- Exemplary leadership skills, including strong teambuilding capabilities
- Must have and maintain a valid provincial driver’s license
- Ability to travel on average once a month to visit sites under construction
