Job Summary
Senior Project Manager to lead design & build of automated assembly systems for automotive, aerospace, and medical equipment. Manage entire project lifecycle from scope and budgeting to handoff, directing cross-functional designers and fabrication teams, interfacing with Edgewater Automation management and customers to meet schedule and budget, utilizing ERP (Questica) and Microsoft Project, preparing change orders, maintaining ISO compliance, and delivering project profitability. Requires strong leadership, communication with customers and internal teams, and willingness to travel (occasional evenings/weekends; 10-15% travel; national/international).
Required Qualifications
- Educational Requirements: DOL Journeymen Machine Builder or Electrical Tech certificate desirable
- Bachelors' degree in engineering, management or an equivalent of 10 years� experience in engineering related to custom automation is preferred but not required
- At least 5 years of experience managing, leading or overseeing capital equipment projects within an applicable industry
- A minimum of 3 years� experience in customer negotiations and marketing related efforts is desirable but not required
- Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no direct report supervisory responsibility. However, this position will build and develop other Project Managers in their group or department through effective mentorship and servant leadership.
- Location/Work Environment: Full-time, travel 10-15% annually; office/manufacturing environment
- Position Type/Hours: Full-time; occasional evenings/weekends; significant travel
