Job Summary
Senior Project Manager to independently manage a diverse pipeline of building-focused capital works projects from inception through to construction. You will work across design management, procurement, documentation, tendering, consultant oversight and delivery, taking full ownership to ensure projects are completed to a high standard. The role includes mentoring junior project staff and contributing to best practice project management approaches across the unit. Typical projects include newbuild community facilities and building upgrades, with capital works generally in the $15–$30M range and exposure to major projects including significant mixed use and social infrastructure developments. You’ll sit above the Coordinator as the most senior project manager in the team, driving delivery standards and uplifting capability. Salary: listed with superannuation and additional benefits. Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in full lifecycle project management
- Strong capability across the full project lifecycle including design management, procurement, authority approvals (Development Applications, Complying Development Certificates, Exempt Development and Review of Environmental Factors (REF)) and construction delivery
- Experience delivering building focused projects (vertical works preferred over civil-heavy experience)
- Solid understanding of Australian Standard consultancy and construction contracts, standards and codes
- Demonstrated ability to run projects with minimal oversight
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to mentor less experienced project managers
- Tertiary qualifications in Construction, Construction Management or a related field
- MS Office suite, including MS project
- Experience delivering major community, civic or vertical building projects
- Project management accreditation or postgraduate qualifications
