Job Summary
Manage integrated Design-Build/Engineering, Procurement, and Construction teams from inception through completion, overseeing engineering design, procurement, scheduling, and construction management activities. Administer prime contracts, construction subcontracts, and purchase orders while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental stewardship goals. Direct field operations, supervise project managers and assistants, and coordinate with construction managers and site safety representatives. Plan, execute, and report on overall project performance, manage changes to the prime contract, and expedite progress payments. Submit and oversee subcontractor and purchase order submittals, reviews, and invoices. Develop initial schedules, monitor design and construction progress, and prepare monthly budget forecasting and schedule management reports. Mitigate disputes, perform value engineering, and train junior staff. Requires 10+ years in Construction Project Management with DB/EPC experience in power delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Science/Management, Engineering, or equivalent field
- 10+ years' experience in Construction Project Management
- Ability to demonstrate thorough knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment used in transmission, distribution, and substation work
- Well versed in various aspects of engineering, design, and construction
- Well versed in contracting methodologies
- Well versed in project planning and management-related tasks and activities
- Well versed in engineering
- Well versed in estimating
- Well versed in scheduling
- Well versed in bidding
- Well versed in project management and administration
- Well versed in management of prime contracts
- Well versed in preparation and administration of purchase orders and subcontracts
- Well versed in field supervision
- Well versed in budget control
- Well versed in safety

- Self-starter
- Ability to manage/supervise other team members effectively
- Strong problem evaluation/solving skills

- Understanding of the project design process for projects (both during pursuit phase and execution phase)

- Strong knowledge and understanding of the power delivery industry
- Strong knowledge of safety and environmental best practices employed by the power industry
- Strong knowledge of quality control and quality assurance measures utilized by the power industry
- Travel: Yes
- Percent of Time: Up to 50%, or as project needs require
Desired Qualifications
- Direct DB/EPC projects in the power delivery industry preferred
- Familiarity with estimating, scheduling, and project management software and processes
- Primavera P6 preferred
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office)
