Job Summary
Lead major transmission and distribution projects from pre-construction through closeout while overseeing portfolios and providing strategic direction to Project Managers. Drive regional project performance, profitability, and risk mitigation by resolving complex project issues, claims, and disputes. Build and maintain strong client, subcontractor, and stakeholder relationships while supporting business development efforts including estimating, proposals, and client presentations. Ensure consistent application of safety, quality, and operational standards and develop, mentor, and evaluate Project Managers and emerging leaders. Collaborate with regional leadership on workforce planning and operational strategy. Requires 10+ years of senior-level project management experience in electric utility construction, PMP certification within 60 days, and must be based in or relocate to the MN area.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years of senior-level project management experience in electric utility construction
- Demonstrated success managing large, complex, multi-million-dollar projects
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence at all organizational levels
- Advanced financial, contract, and risk management expertise
- Exceptional client-facing and strategic communication skills
- Strong commitment to safety, operational excellence, and team development
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to the MN area
- PMP certification required within 60 days of hire
