Job Summary
Senior Project Manager at Proforest leading responsible sourcing programs across agricultural and forest supply chains. Responsibilities include managing client projects (planning, resourcing, budgets, subcontractors, invoicing), delivering technical expertise on strategy and action plans, supplier engagement programmes, landscape and collaboration initiatives, and monitoring & reporting. Key duties also cover facilitating client meetings, maintaining client relationships, mentoring junior team members, potential subject-matter expertise development, and producing high-quality reports and documentation. The role supports projects for major food and consumer goods companies, with a focus on environmental and social outcomes, and involves working with global teams across a range of commodities. Hybrid work in Leiden, The Netherlands, with regular office attendance twice weekly.
Required Qualifications
- A masters’ level qualification (or above) in a relevant field such as environmental issues and social issues
- Professional experience in a consultancy or private sector role working with food and consumer goods companies and agricultural commodity supply chains
- Excellent communication skills and confidence presenting to clients
- Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines
- Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English
