Senior Project Manager

Job Summary

Lead municipal, public works, and transportation projects through planning, design, permitting, bidding, and construction phases while managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk. Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, subconsultants, and client stakeholders to ensure successful delivery, preparing technical reports and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Build and maintain relationships with Florida municipal clients and agencies, serving as the primary point of contact for strategic guidance and infrastructure initiatives. Support business development by leading proposal development, fee negotiations, and client presentations across the state. Mentor engineering staff, provide technical oversight, and foster a collaborative culture to develop future project managers and technical leaders.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited program
  • Active Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in municipal, public works, transportation, or civil infrastructure engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, and client expectations
  • Strong understanding of Florida municipal, county, and state agency processes and requirements
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships

Desired Qualifications

  • 15+ years of related engineering experience
  • Existing relationships with Florida municipalities, counties, transportation agencies, or utility providers
  • Business development and pursuit management experience
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams
  • FDOT project experience
  • Construction administration and construction engineering inspection experience
  • Familiarity with alternative project delivery methods
  • Active participation in professional organizations such as ASCE, APWA, ACEC, or ITE
