Job Summary
Lead the growth of a local transportation practice by creating a vision for expansion, managing projects profitably, and delivering transportation planning, traffic engineering, and ITS-related work. Assist in marketing and business development with municipal, state, and private clients while building and maintaining positive relationships. Provide leadership through business planning, strategy, and mentorship, transitioning work to qualified staff and growing the team. Operate with integrity, establish goals, and communicate openly with partners. This role offers significant autonomy, a performance-based bonus program, and potential advancement to ownership. Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering
- At least 15 years of experience in transportation planning, traffic engineering, traffic operations, and/or ITS planning and design
- Registered license (PE and/or TE)
- Track record of successfully winning and delivering work in Riverside and surrounding communities
- Established relationships with local DOT, local agencies, and/or local municipalities
- Demonstrated ability to manage transportation projects profitably through agency specifications
- Excellent communication, leadership, and technical skills
- Strong desire and ability to be engaged with clients solving project problems
- Ability to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization
- Ability to manage and mentor staff and direct resources effectively in a positive manner
