Job Summary
Define and execute the vision for the Municipal Roadway practice, leading business development to secure new opportunities and drive sustainable growth. Supervise and lead design projects, ensuring quality, timeliness, and profitability while managing resource allocation and seamless staff transitions. Develop strong client relationships, mentor a high-performing team, and uphold operational excellence with full autonomy to build and grow the business. Leverage industry connections to expand market presence and contribute to the professional development of staff within a firm consistently recognized as a top industry leader.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of civil engineering, design, and management of Municipal Roadway projects
- Bachelor's Degree in civil engineering or a related field
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the state for which you are applying
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work for Kimley-Horn in the U.S. without employer sponsorship
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably
- Ability to manage & mentor staff, and direct resources effectively in a positive manner
- Excellent communication, leadership, and technical skills

- Extensive client contacts and relationships
- Business development skills, proven ability to win work, and marketing experience including writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgeting for projected work
- Strong desire and ability to be engaged with clients solving project problems
