Job Summary
Lead the Ports and Industrial Development practice in Savannah, Georgia, by building relationships with key clients, establishing goals, and growing and mentoring staff. Manage projects profitably from concept development through construction administration, preparing design documents for civil site development and ensuring compliance with regulations. Provide vision, business planning, and strategy while maintaining open communication with partners and team members. Operate with integrity, write proposals, and budget for projected work to drive business growth. Enjoy autonomy with a potential bonus program and advancement to ownership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- 10+ years of diversified civil engineering experience
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
- Ability to support complex projects such as port/cargo terminal upland site work and/or industrial development from concept development to preparation of construction documents, permitting and construction administration
- Prepare design documents and reports for civil site development (site, layout, grading, storm water, erosion control, utilities, and other infrastructure systems)
- Possession of or eligibility to obtain a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC)
- Strong technical skills with AutoCAD Civil3D
- Business development and marketing experience including writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgeting for projected work
- Ability to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization
- Ability to manage & mentor staff, and direct resources effectively in a positive manner
- Demonstrated ability to manage land development projects profitably
