Job Summary
Define scope, schedules, and deliverables with business, technical leads, and engineering stakeholders for embedded and hardware projects. Oversee driver development, firmware updates, and product-level initiatives while tracking progress, managing dependencies, and ensuring milestone completion. Serve as the primary link between engineering teams, sales, and external clients to set realistic expectations and facilitate scope adjustments. Implement structured project tracking using Jira, coordinate third-party partners and manufacturers, and proactively address challenges like hardware availability and firmware reliability. Collaborate with embedded and hardware engineers to support iterative development cycles and streamline reporting. Participate in early-stage solution shaping, estimate effort, and translate technical input into structured proposals during RFQ/RFP phases.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in firmware, hardware, or embedded systems delivery - either as a Project Manager or in a technical engineering role with exposure to project coordination
- Comfortable working in structured delivery environments
- willing to develop deeper PM competencies (planning, tracking, stakeholder communication, risk management)
- Experience with Jira or similar PM tools
- General awareness of firmware development and driver-level programming considerations
- Understanding of how hardware and software interact in embedded projects
- Ability to communicate key embedded concepts in a clear and accessible way to clients and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong coordination and problem-solving abilities
- Skilled at facilitating collaboration between technical teams and business stakeholders
- Effective at documentation, reporting, and client communication
- Good level of English (min. B2)
Desired Qualifications
- having a relevant technical background or hands-on experience in hardware or embedded systems
- Candidates with a strong engineering background who are motivated to grow into a project management path
- Familiarity with modern project management methodologies
- Exposure to pre-sales activities (RFQs, RFPs, requirement gathering)
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance or certification processes
