Job Summary
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for all aspects of project development and implementation, providing a single point of contact for projects that are generally multi-year in duration. Responsibilities include overseeing EPC contracts, negotiating third party contracts, developing best practices, mentoring less experienced project managers, and making presentations to PG&E Officers. The role requires extensive project management skills and experience in electric transmission substation and line projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or its equivalent in education and experience
- 8 years of PG&E experience in project management, project controls, engineering, and/or construction (or 9 years outside experience)
- Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Desired Qualifications
- Electrical Engineering Degree for the Substation projects
- Civil Engineering for Transmission line projects
- Knowledge of and experience with electric substations and transmission line projects
- Fluent in the use of Project Management tools and current company tools, such as SAP Financials and Work Management modules and Microsoft Project Scheduling Software
