Job Summary
Develop roadway design projects for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) under a Transportation Team Leader, collaborating with design staff, consultants, and clients to deliver projects enhancing roadway safety. Manage project scopes, budgets, and schedules while reviewing detailed plans for accuracy and consistency. Supervise technical staff including Engineers and EITs, report on project progress, and assist in business development activities. Requires a Florida PE license, 10+ years in civil engineering or transportation project delivery, and experience with Districts 1, 5, and 7. Flexible location and hours available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in civil, public works or transportation project delivery
- Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) License in the State of Florida
- Ability to lead a project and supervise technical staff
- Demonstrated ability to design and review in MicroStation
- Ability to design, oversee and review roadway projects for FDOT and local municipalities

Desired Qualifications
