Job Summary
Develop roadway design projects for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) under a Transportation Team Leader, collaborating with design staff, consultants, and clients to ensure project accuracy and safety. Manage transportation project scopes, budgets, and schedules while overseeing design staff, Engineers, and EITs. Review detailed plans for consistency and report on project progress, utilizing MicroStation for roadway design and review. Support business development activities with the Operations Manager. Requires a Florida PE License, 10+ years of civil engineering experience, and FDOT familiarity. Flexible location and hours available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in civil, public works or transportation project delivery
- Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) License in the State of Florida
- Ability to lead a project and supervise technical staff
- Demonstrated ability to design and review in MicroStation
- Ability to design, oversee and review roadway projects for FDOT and local municipalities
- Manage multiple projects
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Flexible location and hour
