Job Summary
Manage the design and construction of capital improvements and major infrastructure projects for New York University's Planning and Construction Division to ensure delivery within approved budgets, schedules, and quality standards. Direct consultants, contractors, and vendors to optimize financial results and quality performance while maintaining the highest standards of ethics and integrity. Requires a bachelor's degree with 10 years of relevant construction and project management experience, including expertise in building electrical and fire alarm systems. Salary range is $130,000 to $170,000 annually. NYU aims to be among the greenest urban campuses in the country and carbon neutral by 2040.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 10 years' relevant experience in construction, mixed design, and project management
- In-depth engineering knowledge and expertise in the design and installation of building electrical systems and fire alarm systems
Desired Qualifications
- Degree in architecture, engineering, project management or construction management
- Degrees in interior design or business administration complemented by experience in construction project management
- Competence with MS Office products and any additional applications designed to support job function
