Senior Project Manager

Job Summary

Lead management role working with multiple internal and external stakeholders, project teams, divisions, departments, and vendors to strategize, implement, and maintain initiatives that adhere to organizational objectives. Collaborate with project sponsors and portfolio managers to identify, prioritize, and develop divisional roadmaps, while managing vendor onboarding and obtaining necessary state approvals. Develop business cases and cost-benefit analyses, establish governance models, and manage resource allocations to ensure projects advance the departmental IT roadmap. Track program progress, risks, and status for executive presentations, maintain clear communications across all staff levels, and ensure compliance with state security requirements. Manage budget and funding channels for maximum productivity, presenting detailed program updates to senior management and various committees.

  • Demonstrated ability to provide advice, assistance and leadership in improving the quality of IT projects
  • Ability to build, influence, lead and motivate effective teams towards end results

Desired Qualifications

  • PMP/PgMP Certification
  • Agile (PMI-ACP) Certification
  • Experience managing or supervising programs involving legacy system replacement projects
  • Experience collaborating with State and Local Government
  • Experience in complex, cross-functional team environments
